The Statues of San Agustin, Colombia

In the Huila region of Colombia about 600 kilometers south of Bogota there's a remarkable little town which contains the statues and ruins of a mysterious ancient civilization whose name is still unknown to this day. Dating back as far as 4,000 years ago, these people had an advanced understanding of mathematics and science and were superb artesians.

We just finished this short documentary about the statues which we made back in August of 2006. Click here to watch it.

El Hatillo is a small town next to Caracas, Venezuela. We captured a little video using Justin's still camera. The style of music is primarily llanera and the musicians use alot of improvisation in the lyrics of the songs. Video

This is Mike Lyddon of Howling Earth, I am currently in Bogota, Colombia getting ready to meet up with Justin and Andrea in Caracas, Venezuela. We plan to record some groups in Caracas then move west to Barquisimeto, which is described as the city of musicians so we should have good luck there.
