Aires Del Pacifico live in the Colombian city of Bogota but originally
come
from the pacific coast. Their brand of Afro-Colombian music is loaded with infectious
rhythmic repitition and high energy dancing. The dances themselves are designed to
tell stories where each dancer plays a part and a great time is had by all. Leading the
troup is Alba Nelly Nina, who also heads the school for Afro-Colombian studies and
culture in the Kennedy area (named after John Kennedy) of Bogota. We shot these
videos one great beautiful afternoon when the sky was blue, the clouds were perfect,
and the dancing was hot!
